Review Process of Awakening
"Awakening" follows a rigorous blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic quality and scholarly integrity. The review process is designed to evaluate submissions fairly, maintain academic rigor, and contribute meaningfully to the field of historical research. 1. Submission Acknowledgement Upon receiving a manuscript, the editorial office acknowledges the submission and checks for compliance with the journal's guidelines, including formatting, referencing, and plagiarism. 2. Initial Screening The Editor-in-Chief or a designated editorial board member conducts an initial screening to assess the manuscript's relevance, originality, and scholarly value. Manuscripts that do not meet basic criteria or are outside the scope of the journal are rejected at this stage. 3. Peer Review Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to a expert reviewer in the relevant field. Both the author(s) and reviewer remain anonymous to each other to maintain objectivity and impartiality.
- Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript based on clarity, originality, methodology, argumentation, use of sources, and contribution to historical scholarship.
- Reviewers may recommend one of the following: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
- Accepted papers proceed to copyediting.
- Papers requiring revision are returned to authors with reviewers' feedback.
- Rejected papers are notified with constructive comments to help improve the manuscript.
